Manually Create a Single User
A Candidate can be created manually in ATLAS Cloud for courseware but should not be used for Candidates taking Certification tests using some external providers, for example via BCS.
To create a Candidate manually:
- Highlight the group within the Candidates folder that the Candidate should be added to
- Select the Organization drop down
- Highlight Create and then select Add user
The Create profile screen will appear. The Candidate’s details need to be added here and saved.
Please note that the mandatory fields include: Username, Password, First name, Last Name, Date of birth and Email address. Remember username and passwords are both case sensitive.
- Add the Username
- Type the Password
- Retype the same Password in the Confirm password field
- Type the Last Name
- Type the First name
- Scroll down to view further fields
- Complete the email address field
- Add any further non mandatory information into the other fields for your reference, if required
- Click the Save button
The new Candidate now appears in the tree structure under the folder selected.
Please pass the username and password details onto the new Candidate for them to be able to log into the system.
Manually Create Multiple Users
Candidates can be created manually in bulk in ATLAS Cloud using a predefined number pattern.
This method can be used for organisations manually creating logins for courseware or Operators such as Malta, but this should not be used for Candidates taking Certification tests for BCS.
To create multiple Candidates manually:
- Highlight the group within the Candidates folder that the Candidates should be added to
- Select the Organization drop down
- Highlight Create and then select Add Multiple Users
The Add Multiple profiles screen will appear. Enter a name into the 'Start name' field. If this name contains a number, that number will be incremented by one for each subsequent profile. If the number is proceeded by zeros, the subsequent numbers will also be padded to retain that length. If the number is not preceeded by zeros it will still be padded to the length of the largest number. If no number is specified in the name a number will be added at the end and will start from one.
For example, if 10 usernames need to be created starting with ATLAS each time from number one, the Start name would be ATLAS000001 and the Number of users would be 10.
Now add the appropriate multiple profile details:
- Add the Start name
- Type the Number of users
- Click the Add button
The Profiles will then show created on the Profiles Created screen: the right hand column will show the passwords for each username that appear in the left hand column.
The Usernames and Passwords can be copied from the page by selecting with the mouse and then copy to notepad or excel.
The Candidates will also show in the tree structure underneath the folder selected.
